Autism Team Support

Autism Support is available for parent carers from the Specialist Teaching Team for Autism.

We provide:


Topic Talks for parent carers, virtual in the morning and repeated in person in the afternoon, including time for questions and peer support.

The following Topic Talks have been scheduled:

  • Sleep - Wednesday 17 April
  • Anxiety - Wednesday 1 May
  • Managing meltdowns - Wednesday 15 May
  • Transitions - Wednesday 5 June
  • Successful trips out - Wednesday 19 June
  • Online safety - Wednesday 3 July

Virtual talks take place from 10.00am to 11.00am on Microsoft Teams. Due to confidentiality issues, we'll be unable to discuss named children during this time.

In person talks take place between 1.30 and 2.30pm at The YIKS All About Autism Hub, Clifton Children’s Centre, (in front of Clifton Green School), YO30 6BF.

The Autism Specialist Teaching Team are offering parent carers the opportunity to talk to a member of the team regarding general issues and concerns about children and young people with autism with a fortnightly phone line in the morning and drop-ins in the afternoon.

Phone line support is available from 9.00am to 12.00pm. 20 minutes is allocated per phone call.

In person drop-in support is available from 1.30pm to 2.30 pm at The YIKS All About Autism Hub, Clifton Children’s Centre, (in front of Clifton Green School), YO30 6BF.
